What throughput can the RIS handle?

The feed rate for the RIS depends on the density of the feed material, the quality of final product required. For film materials a feed rate of 4-6000 PPH is reasonable. For rigid plastics (higher bulk density) feed rates of 6-8,000 PPH or more are possible. For separately paper from plastic feed, feed rates greater than 12-15,000 PPH are possible.

What does “overs” and “unders” output mean in practical terms?

Cleaned overs (the larger, recovered material) exit ready for resale or downstream recycling, while unders (fines, dirt, debris) are removed separately, reducing disposal volume and improving the value of the recovered stream.

Can the RIS integrate into an existing processing line?

Yes. The RIS is designed as a modular system and can be integrated into regional recycling hubs, plastics recovery plants, or existing high-volume processing operations. The units can be fed either by a mechanical belt conveyor or pneumatically, depending on the facility setup. Both the RIS product and separated contaminants are typically discharged and transported pneumatically, but they can also be discharged onto a belt conveyor if preferred by the client.

Final conveyor, intake, and discharge configurations should be confirmed with the project team based on the specific processing line layout.

Is the RIS suitable for mixed plastic film with paper labels or fiber contamination?

Yes. The system is built to disengage paper labels and fiber contamination from plastic packaging and mixed film streams.

How does the RIS handle agricultural film contaminated with vegetation or soil?
